Sandbox seats and paying users
Sandbox capacity follows billing, not roles. You can create one sandbox per paying user.
- During a 14 day free trial of the Sandbox tool, that user counts as paying for this purpose and can create one sandbox for the trial.
- After you subscribe, each paid Sandbox seat allows that user to create one sandbox.
- Need a second sandbox for the same person? Use Buy another sandbox seat on the Sandboxes page (billing admins), or ask a billing admin if you cannot buy seats yourself.
Seats only control how many sandboxes you may create. What is inside each sandbox is still limited to the tools that person (or the org) has on trial or paid import and edit access.
How to buy another sandbox seat
- Make sure the Sandbox tool already has at least one paid seat for that user (subscribe first if needed — see Buying Seats and Subscriptions).
- Open Sandboxes in your workspace.
- Choose Buy another sandbox seat and confirm in Stripe.
- Your sandbox slot count goes up by one so you can create another sandbox.
Self-pay users can buy extra seats for themselves. Company-pay seats are usually bought by a Billing Administrator or Super Administrator.
