Why you need 2FA
Teluul requires every user to use two-factor authentication. That means after your password, you also enter a code from an authenticator app on your phone.
This helps keep your workspace safer if a password is stolen, and it supports the security standards Teluul follows (including SOC2).
You cannot skip this, and you cannot turn 2FA off later.
How to set it up (step by step)
- Sign in to your workspace.
- Teluul shows the 2FA setup page. You will keep seeing this until setup is finished — there is no “Do This Later”.
- Install an authenticator app if you do not have one:
- In the app, either scan the QR code on the screen, or choose Enter code manually instead and type the secret key Teluul shows you (save that key somewhere safe).
- Type the 6-digit code from the app into Teluul to confirm.
- Teluul will show your backup codes. Save them in a safe place. You need to confirm you saved them before you continue.
In your authenticator app, the account should show your Teluul username (not your email). Username is what you use to sign in.
Every login after that
- Enter your username and password on your workspace.
- Enter the current code from your authenticator app.
- If you cannot use the app, choose Sign in another way and enter one of your backup codes. Each backup code works only once.
If you lose your phone, you can set up a new authenticator from your profile later. You cannot remove 2FA completely.
