Invite a new user

Only an email address and selection of a single role or multiple roles are required to send an invite to a new user.

These invites are for users inside your organization subdomain (for example johnsinsurancecorp.teluul.com), not on the main Teluul site (teluul.com). Roles, including Super Administrator, can only control their own subdomain. They cannot create or manage other subdomains.

Who can invite: a Super Administrator or an IAM Administrator.

Auto created username

When an invite is sent, Teluul auto-creates a username from the part of the email before the @.

If the same email is invited more than once, add 1, then 2, and so on (same idea as org subdomain duplicate detection).

Example:

  • Invite #1 (Signup) — Email: john.doe@johnsinsurancecorp.com — Role: Superadmin — Auto Created Username: john.doe
  • Invite #2 — same email — Role: Sandbox User — Auto Created Username: john.doe1
  • Invite #3 — same email — Role: Limited Standard — Auto Created Username: john.doe2

Auto-created usernames can later be edited in the settings section of a customer’s Teluul org. Even when changed manually, no duplicate usernames can occur for any given org. Usernames must remain unique at all times.

Emails sent on invite

All emails are sent from support@teluul.com.

First email (signup superadmin user & invited user)

Provides:

  • Workspace Name
  • Subdomain URL
  • Username
  • Backup Codes

Second email (invited user)

Provides the auto-assigned password for first login. This password must be changed at the time of first login.

Third email (invited user)

Provides a URL link to confirm their email address. The user should click the link to confirm their email. This email is sent to both types of users (signup superadmin and invited user).

Important

  • A user is always tied to a single subdomain / business account.
  • They cannot log in, see, or do anything relating to a different subdomain.
  • Invite emails and any URLs in them show only that subdomain.
