How pricing works
This section covers pricing, billing, and payments inside each customer org. Billing and payments are handled through Stripe.
The idea is to invite people in instead of keeping them out, so we can grow organically without spending a fortune on advertising.
- Unlimited users can view and export any tool for free.
- We only charge for a tool’s import and edit function, per user, per month.
- Each tool has its own monthly price, based on our internal cost plus margin.
- After signing up, a superadmin can invite as many users as they want, free of charge.
14 day free trial
Each product tool has its own 14 day free trial, independent of every other tool. This lets an organization try different tools at different times instead of all at once.
- When a trial starts, all users in the organization get view, import, edit, and export for that tool.
- When the trial ends, at least one user must buy a monthly subscription. Only then can the other users keep using view and export for free.
- If nobody has paid when the trial ends, the tool is locked for everyone.
- Each additional user who needs import and edit must buy a monthly subscription.
- When asking for payment info for the first time, make it clear that they will not be billed automatically when a free trial ends. They are only billed after they choose a subscription to pay for.
Who has access

A user can have different access to different tools. For example, edit and import for Tool A, view and export for Tool B, and edit and import for Tool C. Billing is always per tool, per user.

Customer XYZ is billed:
- Tool A: 3 users x $7.99
- Tool B: 6 users x $14.99
- Tool C: 1 user x $3.99
- Total: $117.90 per month
The formula is: monthly charge for a tool = tool price x number of paid users for that tool. The same user can overlap across tools. If a user has edit and import on Tool A but only view and export on Tool B, they are only charged for Tool A.
